Sector Prime is a terminal-style space simulator where economic survival is just as dangerous as a pirate ambush. Starting with a small gift of 20k, you must navigate a living, breathing galaxy to build your fortune—or die trying.

Unlike casual clickers, the universe of Sector Prime doesn't care if you succeed. Prices fluctuate based on dynamic news events. Factions will embargo you if your reputation drops. And if your ship is destroyed without insurance, it's gone forever.

• Living Economy: Buy low and sell high in a dynamic market. Watch the news ticker for famines, tech booms, and mining strikes that send prices soaring or crashing.
• Procedural Universe: Explore infinite star systems populated by randomly generated alien races, planets, and moons. No two playthroughs are the same.
• High-Stakes Combat: Engage in tactical turn-based battles. Manage your shields and hull against pirates, or risk facing the terrifying Bank Repo Squads if you miss your loan payments.
• Repulsor Bike Racing: Purchase and upgrade your own 200mph+ repulsor bike! Race in high stake races and win big, or lose big. 
• Deep Customization: Buy and upgrade ships ranging from nimble Fighters to massive Battleships. Install custom modules like Mining Lasers, Heavy Shields, and Cargo Pods to spec your ship for your playstyle.
• Empire Building: Don't just visit planets—conquer them. Establish your own mining outposts on barren moons or build retail stores on core worlds to generate passive income.
• Faction Politics: Navigate the complex web of galactic politics. Will you side with the bureaucratic United Sol Federation, the ruthless Crimson Syndicate, or the mysterious Technos Enclave? Your reputation opens doors—or locks them.
• Mini Games: Try your hand at Void-25 or Galactic Slots at any bar! Win big or bust!

🕹️ How to Play

Sector Prime is played entirely through a retro command-line interface.

• Navigation: Travel between planets and warp to new systems using your ship's nav computer.
• Trade: Check market listings, buy commodities, and haul them to systems in need.
• Combat: Choose to Attack, Flee, or Dodge based on your ship's speed and loadout.
• Management: Visit the Bank to manage loans and insurance, or the Spaceport to refuel and repair.

⚠️ Warning

Permadeath mechanics apply to your ship. If you fly without insurance and get destroyed, you will lose your vessel, your cargo, and your crew. You have been warned, Commander.

Developer Note: This game is in early development by one person. I am not a game developer, but I am decent at Python. As such I have relied heavily on assistance from AI, namely Gemini for helping with alot of aspects. I have always wanted to release a simulation game. I am just not good at the graphics portion, so I have went with a text-based game since it is what I am more familier with coming from my scripting background. I will actively be adding new features as time goes until I feel it is at a point where I can release it on Steam and of course here on Itch.io. Feel free to let me know what you think and how to improve.  Finally, alot of what I want to do is implemented but not fully fleshed out so don't expect a full game experience.
